Watched it last night. Very moving. Anyone out there can clear this up, though: the film hints strongly at a rift between Bobby and Greenwood ( not even a call up in the England management set up unlike Sir Geoff), but what about the John Lyall years? Justifiably both WH and the FA are culpable of squandering the talent of our hero, but there must have been something deep rooted at WH for two consecutive managers to snub him. Anything documented on this?

Watched this on Blu-ray last night and couldn't speak for a while afterwards.I was lucky enough to bump into him in the street years ago on a work errand and he signed my cheque book,Still my most treasured possession.

Is your mate unaware of Sir Trevor Brooking's place in the FA's corridors of power over the past 20 years?
Is he also unaware that whatever his other attributes, Rio Ferdinand is thick as two short planks and entirely unsuited to leadership of the FA.
Is he unaware that the film is called 'Bo66y', not, 'simply 'Bobby''.
It's a respectful article but not entirely accurate.

Well had a good old grizzle up watching that... along with Ali he was and still is my absolute hero... excellently put together and some stuff I have never heard or seen... love the story from Jonathon Pearce in 1990 with Bobby walking through the fighting hordes in Turin and parting them all like the red sea... the stuff with the women (Tina, Steph and Roberta) was all very touching and well done... the football stuff we all know about... a brilliant tribute to a quite simply brilliant footballer and man...
